Join the GSES PTA in showing our unending gratitude to our teachers and staff for their hard work during the past year. It is not unusual to find our teachers and staff going out of their way to help our students. As our school year comes to a close, there is no better time to show your appreciation to those who deserve it most. We hope you’ll join us by either showing support on the following themed days. Feel free to show your appreciation to our teachers and staff in any way you are able. Our teachers and staff love to feel supported in all ways! Monday, May 7: Thanks a Bunch!
Tuesday, May 8: Chocolate Extravaganza – We’d like to encourage you or your student to send in a note of thanks and/or a flower as a way to kick of our week. We would also like to include some special notes and drawings along our entry way to show all visitors that our staff is valued for all that they do! If you would like your special note to be included in our display, please return in an envelope marked "PTA" or deliver it to Mrs. Schrader (GSES PTA Treasurer) in the school library or before Friday, May 4th. – Please bring in something that can accompany the chocolate fountain that PTA is bringing in for the staff. Some delicious treat ideas include strawberries, pineapple, apples, bananas, marshmallows, cookies, macaroons, pretzels, angel food cake, etc.
Wednesday, May 9: Random Acts of Kindness
There is no school for students on Thursday and Friday (May 10-11) due to elementary assessments. The GSES PTA will be providing lunch from the Glenwood Canyon Brew Pub to our staff on Thursday. Please drop off special dessert on Thursday for our staff if you are able.
Kids will receive a flyer going home! In addition to information regarding Adopt a Grizzly!
– Perform a gesture of goodwill (washing their windows, cleaning their classroom, volunteering for recess duty, etc.) or bring in a small gift or token of your appreciation. Teacher gifts do not need to be extravagant. A simple drawing, handmade item or note of thanks from you or your student can go a long way in making our teachers feel special and valued.
